This recession is tough on hearing aid offices.  In the last year by my count, 8 local offices have closed or changed names. Callers are telling us that their local offices are frequently taking unexplained days off, and or closing early; without so much as the common courtesy of putting a note on the door. Scary times!

Another sign of the times is Manufacturers buying out local offices. Usually the original name is kept but they lose their experienced staff and emphasize "Hearing Aid Selling".  Some are opening extra sales locations without hiring additional staff. The staff works in one office half the week, and then in the other office.  You can never find them when you need service!
